Coastal Curved Glass was originally known as Healy Windows, a company created by Doug Healy in 1975. Healy Windows was originally focused on making high-quality, efficient wooden windows. However, in 1990, the Healy family moved from Saskatchewan to Vancouver, BC. It was then that Doug decided that he would move his business into custom bent and curved glass grew. Thus, Seabird Bent Glass was born.
Coastal Curved Glass is a division of Seabird Industries which is a medium-sized family-owned Vancouver company that specializes in curved glass. We made a conscious decision two decades ago to only manufacture and sell bent glass mainly to flat glass manufactures which allowed us to set ourselves apart in a niche market and thus work with these clients as a specialist supplier rather than a competitor. We believe that focusing exclusively on curved glass has allowed us to gain deep technical knowledge which allows us to excel at what we do. Coastal Curved Glass has enjoyed success over the last 20 years by helping our clients be successful at delivering top-quality bent glass products for their projects.
Curved glass is, in many ways, considered a luxury product which means that curved glass could be substituted for flat glass at a lesser cost. Thankfully we have a great base of customers who design, build, and create fluid and original masterpieces that allow the end user to have something uniquely tailored to their liking. As such, we have had the pleasure of working with some of North America’s most discerning customers. We are frequently invited to magnificent homes, businesses, and yachts, where customers will only accept the highest of quality. These high expectations have pushed us to maintain the highest possible quality while still coming up with creative bent glass solutions to meet our customers’ needs.
Over the past two decades, Seabird Bent Glass has been serving customers worldwide and perfecting the art of bending glass. We look forward to working with you and enjoying another 20 years of amazing success.
